Home Addition Contractor In Long Branch, NJ

Expand Your Home With New Space

Second Stories To Bump-Outs

Types Of Home Additions We Build

A home addition in Long Branch, NJ or anywhere in Monmouth County for that matter is a huge project, and typically means new foundations, new framing, roofing, mechanicals and more. Our team has been doing just that since we started with experience stretching more than 20 years in the construction industry. When you choose us as your general contractor, you can rest easy knowing that our owner Fabian Diaz is running your project personally and ensuring it goes off without a hitch.  The word addition, can mean many things, and below is what we are confident our team can handle!
Adding a full second floor to a ranch or single-story Cape. Involves structural analysis, new staircase, new roof, and coordinating the first-floor ceiling becoming the new subfloor. Most common in older Long Branch, Oceanport, and Eatontown neighborhoods where lots are narrow and building up is the only way to gain space.
Extending the back of the house to expand a kitchen, add a great room, or create an open-concept family space. Often paired with a kitchen remodel in the same project.
A self-contained living space with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and private entrance. Strict zoning and code rules in most Monmouth County townships, so we handle the variance process when needed.
Adding a primary bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet over a garage or as a main-floor extension. Common ask from homeowners whose kids are still home and who don't want to give up a bedroom.
Climate-controlled additions that function as real living space year-round, not three-season glorified porches.
Adding a new attached or detached garage, or converting an existing garage into finished living space.
A larger addition that adds multiple rooms at once. Typical scope includes a new bedroom, full bath, and family room, often with direct access to the existing kitchen.

Expanding Your Home Vs Converting It

When homeowners need more functional square footage, there are really two paths forward and most don’t realize how different they are until they’re deep into planning. You can expand your home by building outward or upward, or you can convert space you already have (a basement, attic, garage, or underused room) into something new. Both get you more usable space. The similarities end there.

On average, a home addition will cost more, but its because it is designed around your space’s needs, and custom built. It also allows for a higher value when selling your home. Now for a conversion, you may lean towards this option if you already have a space you are willing to scratch and make it something different. Both options will solve your need for space, and our team proudly does excellent transformations with both.

Your New Home Addition

From Start To Finish

Each addition our company does on your home follows a strict process so you always know what happens next and so that your addition passes inspection!

01.

Walkthrough
We come to your home, look at the existing structure, and talk through what you want added and where. Some spots work. Some don’t. Setbacks, lot coverage, utility lines, and existing framing all factor in. We give you a straight answer at the first visit about whether what you want is actually buildable.

02.

Design & Engineering
Most home additions in NJ require architectural drawings and structural engineering. We coordinate licensed architects and engineers and handle the permit submission with your township. Variance applications, zoning board appearances, and building department meetings are all on us.

03.

Material & Finish Plans
Roofing, siding, windows, flooring, paint, trim, cabinetry, and fixtures need to match or intentionally complement the existing house. We work through selections as a direct cabinet supplier with trade accounts at Floor & Decor, Sherwin-Williams, ABC Supply, Builders General, Pella, and Grainger.

04.

Construction Starts
Foundation, framing, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, electrical rough, plumbing rough, HVAC, flooring, tile, cabinetry, and finish work. Our in-house crew handles carpentry, framing, drywall, tile, cabinetry, flooring, and finish. We coordinate licensed plumbing and electrical trades. One crew, one accountable timeline.

05.

Tie-In & Finish
The hardest part of an addition is the seam where the new construction meets the existing house. Roofline, siding, flooring transitions, and interior walls all have to read as one continuous structure.

Punch List & Walkthrough
We don’t disappear at 90% complete. We finish the project with a documented punch list that we work through with you before final invoicing.
